Which Is Cuter? St. John Bay or Michael Kors Espadrilles

$69.99 Macys online or instore

$30.00 JCP online or instore
Its what you like your style and if labels really dictate how much you would spend on clothing. Personally I do not like espadrilles its like glorified twine (or renamed string)... But I saw these at JCP and there kinda cute. The MK flats with espadrille design has a foot bottom soley made out of espadrille texture: how uncomfortable is that?

Late: Maybe? But I Want It! Minx Nail Coverings

I'm late, but so what: Minx nail covering has been around for a while: a good minute, and I'm just getting around to really wanting all 10 digits to shine bright!

Solange Wearing Obama (Who Knew) We Could Wear Our President!

I really want to try them: Minx Nail Covering, that is. I'm not even a nail froo froo person but nail covering seems fun, easy, and stylish! So count me in, I keep my nails up, moisturized, unpolished but looking nicely noticeable for the compliment: "Nice Hands": I said hands, not nails, some female get their nails done every week or two and their hands are still busted. Some people can't help it: scars etc, but I rather have someone compliment me on my hands then just on my nails.

Minx What Is It?

Minx Nail Coverings are made from a thin film foil

with an adhesive underside that is applied using a heat source.

Because the coverings are made of a film foil, picture perfect images can be printed on the coverings to create bold and eye catching designs. The materials used are Eco friendly, safe on the nails, and because there is no polish or chemicals used, there is no drying time and no chipping! Just stick, heat, trim and your nails are fashion forward and ready to wear! Removal is just as easy as the application. Just set a blow dryer on high heat, place the heat over the fingernails and peel off the foil.

Whats The Different Between Stick On's and Minx?

What makes Minx different from the nail stickers you can buy in the store is the material and the adhesive.

 Quote
"I don't know about any of you but I've tried the Avon and Incoco versions and could never get them to stick or lay properly. Plus, they just looked cheap. Minx is definitely a higher end product."

Eve Sporting Obama

Being that nail polish has come ways, from the horrible formaldehyde, animal testing, etc ways, I really have been leaning to wear more nail polish, and Minx is just too cute and fun to pass up!

Pros Minx: Pass Up Nail Polish!

Pros
Easy to apply - There's no mess, no wait time, no accidental smudging or sheet marks Looks you can't acheive with polish - True chrome, intricate patterns, your dog (if that's your thing)
Perfect for pedicures - They last forever on toes. With no drying time they're ideal for winter pedis. You'd never have to leave the salon in flip flops with frozen toes. FYI - I saw Telia's toes with Golden Lightening and they looked beyond fab!
A "green" product that doesn't use chemicals for application or removal. Just a little heat and some gentle peeling takes Minx right off.

Cons

The edges are never truly smooth no amount of filing will get them smooth
The tips will start to lift in a matter of days: depends on how active you are also
The line at the cuticle is rounded so they won't match every nail shape

Application - A basic manicure is performed before application and the nail plate must be cleaned of all oils and residue. The coatings are heated under a lamp or hair dryer to make them flexible and warm the adhesive. The tech then lines up the rounded edge with the cuticle and, while lightly dragging, presses the coating onto the nail. Telia used a hair dryer, after applying, to help the coatings seal onto my nails, like shrink wrap, before using the Minx glass nail file to remove the excess.

Price? Well I read anywhere from $40 and up

I'm going to NY, so I'm wondering if any shops in the area I'm visiting does nail coverings: I'm not even sure thats how I'm suppose to phrase it but, hey!

My Review of Wren

Great Stye Cute Loafers!
By LoveItxoxo from NY-NC on 6/3/2010
4out of 5
Sizing: Feels true to size
Width: Feels too narrow
Pros: Stylish
Cons: Too Stiff
Best Uses: Work, School, Casual Wear
Describe Yourself: Style Driven
These loafers caught my eyes as I was scrolling through all the loafers available:
FYI I love loafers, it's been a secret of mines since I was a younger!

I wanted to purchase these loafers in black and brown suede as well as the patent leather: I Bought only the black patent leather ones (for now)

Delivery was on time

Packaging was ok: The Company should have shipped these shoes in a protective plastic covering the shoes box inside the shipping box, just in case of the weather. These loafers where shipped with a single shipping air pocket and placed in the shipping box.

RATING: I give these shoes a 4 out of a possible 5: The issues with the shoes which I describe below, may only be a defect with this single pair, the rest of the details make thse shoes a quality 4.

These Wren Loafers do look similar to the loafers online, there are issues with the stichting and the soles of the in these Patent Leather Wren's:

Though these loafers are cute

Issues: Stitching, a little Narrow: But able to slip on with comfort, needs to be broken in, Smooth Sole (but No Traction)

Stitching was a problem:Irregular uneven and thin-thick in some areas

The stitching also looked gray in some areas and white in others

I'm a stickler for shoes detail but these loafers were off and odd with the terrible stiching being discolored in areas that I didnt want to keep them:

Also the soles didnt have any traction, again I am not a person who have everything perfect when it comes to shoes.  But certain  details have to be accurate, it is very important to have traction on shoes. The bottom of the loafers (the soles) were smooth and slick, so it wouldn't be a good idea to wear these Patent Leather loafers in the rain or on smooth surfaces

Which I wanted to be able to wear these year around

I return them, I may order the suede black or brown loafers and see how they look

For the price and brand I'd say purchase (if you are interested in the brand and style).

Obama Too Popular For His Own Good?

OverExposed

It seems many did not like what our President was wearing in the All Star game last Wednesday: Calling his faded denim jeans: "Mom Jeans". As stupid as this topic is, I had to touch on this issue of President Obama and the Personal choices he makes.

Not only do I find it irritating but nonsensical stupidity! And just to point out that I am not on anyone side but the side of: intelligence: this has nothing to do with him being African American or the best looking president America as ever had!

I am not defending him, but I am asking why cant our President be a normal male species of the HUMAN RACE? I mean come on nothing was wrong with his jeans, if you actually look at the picture where he is practicing his pitch: The foot that is on the ground his cuffs are long enough to cover his sneakers: Which I feel is the "rule of thumb" (or is that fashion 101?) when it comes to how long should man's pants leg should reach:

Yes his jeans did raise: LIKE ALL JEANS DO, when you lift an leg up! I mean it was so stupid I HAD TO comment! Not only that, lets not forget Our President is 6'1: a tall man, and as you know its hard to find jeans flattering for a tall slim man. If anything his jeans were a little snug: but I've notice that his styling choice: besides baggy hoodlum jeans just doesnt look great for his mature define age! This is not an excuse but common sense.

Obama apparently is a mans man not some tutti fruti: O-M-G (what am I to wear) down low black man. He stated he was comfortable and he HATES shopping: a typical male response: and God Bless Him

This goes beyond critiquing: it's STUPIDITY to the utmost.

President Obama may be too Popular. Making the public and press more freely to comment on the most personal of matter: no matter how inane it is!

All Star Game

Post from Yahoo News Below (not the most reliable) but NY times didnt want to waste precious paper

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ynews/20090721/pl_ynews/ynews_pl827

Last week, when
President Obama threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the All-Star Game in St. Louis, he was probably more concerned with getting the ball over the plate than with his choice of attire. Call it a rookie mistake. The president's baggy pants were mocked as being... brace yourselves... "mom jeans." Now, the leader of the free world has responded to his fashion critics.

In an interview on NBC's "Today Show" that mostly covered serious topics, President Obama
acknowledged that he "looked a little frumpy" in his baggy jeans. In his defense, Mr. Obama said that he hates to shop and that "those jeans are comfortable." The President went on to say: "For people who want a president to look great in tight jeans, I'm sorry." No apology necessary, Mr. President. The thought of our Commander-In-Chief wearing skinny jeans is a terrifying prospect.

The interview, which in our unofficial estimation marks the first time a sitting U.S. president apologized for not wearing tighter denim, sparked renewed interest in the infamous jeans. Searches surged on "
obama's mom jeans" and "obama wears mom jeans." We even noticed a few queries on "what kind of jeans does obama wear?". Perhaps some brave souls are looking to copy the President's devil-may-care look. If it'll help stop the skinny-jeans menace, we're all for
